About The Home Efficiency Rebate Program
With the Home Efficiency Rebate program, you can lower your energy expenses and enhance the comfort of your living space throughout the year. Upgrades including insulation, air sealing, new windows and doors, water heaters, boilers, furnaces, and home energy assessments are eligible for rebates of up to $5,000.
It is crucial to conduct a home energy evaluation before starting any renovation work. An accredited energy advisor will assess the energy use in your home and make recommendations regarding suitable upgrades. If at least two of the advised upgrades are carried out, you can be entitled to a rebate.
The current Home Efficiency Rebate program will end on April 30, 2023, and only is only available to Enbridge Gas customers who have undergone a pre-retrofit home energy assessment before December 31, 2022. This program will be replaced by the new Home Efficiency Rebate Plus Program.

Home Efficiency Rebate Plus
The Canada’s Greener Homes Grant and Enbridge Gas have collaborated to offer rebates for qualified retrofits, including home insulation, windows and doors, heat pumps, and renewable energy systems. The Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program can help more Ontario homeowners conserve energy. This is great news for homeowners including existing Enbridge Gas customers who use natural gas to heat their homes. You can now receive increased rebates of up to $10,000. In addition, participants can also offset the expense of their EnerGuide home assessment with an extra rebate of $600.
